Yarraville-Footscray Bowling Club held its Gala Awards Night last Saturday and announced the the first ever Edith Grinham Medal which is voted for the best performing player in Midweek Pennant. The first medal count was a tie between Mike Galakos and Joan Hancock, Mike Galakos pictured above with Edith Grinham. Joan Hancock who was absent on the night due to illness, both of them polled the most votes to take out the award.
Edith Grinham who the award is named after made the presentation to Mike congratulated both Joan and Mike on their great wins, she also thanked the club for naming the medal in her honour.
Mike was very thankful to Edith and the club and was very grateful of his win.
Joan has also had a great year on the green, and she was also thankful to the club for the award.
